Geoffrey Flohr is a 38+ year veteran of Law Enforcement. Most recently he retired from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Polygraph Unit and prior to this, the Michigan State Police after 25 years of service. As a Polygraph Examiner and Specialist Detective Sergeant, Geoffrey has become a nationally recognized specialist in the Polygraph profession with a particular emphasis in Homicide and Crimes Against Children investigations. Geoffrey received the “Gerstacker Award” for Michigan’s Trooper of the Year in 1998 and in 2007 the American Association of Police Polygraphists Region Two Director’s Award. Geoffrey has received multiple awards that have recognized his investigative skills and professionalism. Geoffrey has also become a recognized specialist in the area of Child Forensic Interviewing. Geoffrey has developed and taught several classes with a particular emphasis on Criminal Sexual Conduct, Understanding the Child Sexual Assault Suspect, Introduction to Forensic Interviewing of Children and Gathering Linguistic Communication Information Theory. Geoffrey has been utilized by several law enforcement agencies throughout Michigan and Las Vegas, Nevada to assist in complicated and high profile cases involving Crimes Against Children, Homicide, and Cold Case Homicide & Missing Persons Investigations. In retirement from active duty Law Enforcement, Geoffrey established Geoffrey Flohr Investigative Services for the purposes of administering Polygraph Examinations and conducting both Criminal and Civil Issue investigations. The company provides three areas of expertise in technical investigations for civil and/or criminal litigation support in the Mid-west region of the United States.
